Smart Badge Management Across Locations

AZ Diest, a regional hospital in Belgium, relies on CardsOnline as a cloud-based solution to manage and produce secure employee ID badges. These multifunctional DESFire 4k cards support identification, access control, printing, and cashless payment—all from a single, centrally managed system.

 

CardsOnline is deployed across two AZ Diest locations, each connected to its own source system (SD Worx and SharePoint) for cardholder data. The system also integrates with key facility systems including VSK (access control), Olympus, and Kyocera printing.

 

Using the ScreenCheck SC7000 card printer, AZ Diest ensures high-quality, reliable card production. Employee photos are captured with a Microsoft webcam, directly linked to CardsOnline for smooth photo management.

In addition to centralized administration, cardholders can manage their own cards via the CardsOnline Service Portal, where they can review personal data or block a lost card using a mobile device or desktop.
